A Letter From Your Local Home Inspector:
This is Home Inspection That Puts You First

Hello,
My name is Scott Sanford. I am a home inspector and a man of faith. I am also a carpenter by trade and worked in the building industry for over thirty years before entering into the field of home inspection. When the building industry crashed in 2008, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted to do ‘when I grew up’.
One day my wife asked if I ever considered home inspection as an occupation? I said, “I would never!” Home inspectors had a reputation for being unethical and dishonest. She said, “Why don’t you change that?” So, the challenge was set before me and I accepted.
My experience in the building industry and my desire to educate home buyers proved to be a perfect fit.
My experience spans many areas of building from new construction, remodeling, and historic restorations from footings to roofing and everything in between. In order to recognize deficiencies and safety concerns, I believe you must have an understanding of how buildings are put together. Recognizing potential problems and building history takes years of hands-on experience.
I would consider it a great honor to be chosen to represent you and to guide you through the process of examining your potential new home to reveal its current condition and safety. After all, purchasing a home for most is the biggest decision you could ever face. Be responsible and arm yourself with as much information as possible to help you with your decision.
I am not without faults. However, I will use all the skills I have to shed light on areas of uncertainty, help provide an uplifting home-buying experience and share in your excitement at the prospect of owning a home you love for years to come.
Thank you and God bless,
Scott Sanford
